What we collect when you use this website, why, and the choices you have. Last updated October 16, 2026.
This policy covers gabrielasrockport.com, run by Gabriela's Seafood + Tapas, 1815 Broadway St, Rockport, TX 78382 (“we”, “us”). Questions or requests go to gabrielasrockportseafood@gmail.com or (361) 727-2644.
What we collect
Only what you give us, plus basic information about how the site is used.
Contact form: your name, email, and optionally your phone number, a subject and your message.
Private event inquiries: your name, email, mobile number (optional), event type, preferred date, guest count and the details you share. If you ask to receive texts, we also record when you agreed, the wording you agreed to, and the internet (IP) address it came from, as a record of your consent.
Email list: your email address, from the signup in the site footer or the “special offers” box on the event inquiry form.
Site usage: the pages you visit, the page that sent you here, your browser type, and which buttons you click (for example “Reserve”). See Analytics.
Server logs: like nearly every website, our server briefly logs the IP address and browser of each request, which we use to keep the site secure and to stop spam.
We don't collect payment details. Reservations are made on OpenTable and online orders and gift cards on Toast; their own privacy policies apply there.
How we use it
To answer your message or inquiry, and to plan and confirm your event.
To text you about your event, only if you asked us to (see SMS terms).
To send our email list, only if you signed up.
To understand which pages are useful and keep the site working well.
To keep the site secure and filter out spam.
To answer inquiries faster, our team may use an AI writing tool to help draft replies to your messages, texts and inquiries. A member of our team reviews what we send. The details you shared may be processed by that tool's provider for this purpose only.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the restaurant and this website, and only as needed for them to do that:
our web host, which stores the site and the information submitted through it;
Twilio, which delivers our text messages;
our email providers, which deliver our replies and our email list;
Toast, which we use to send our marketing emails;
an AI writing tool provider, as described above;
Umami, for privacy-friendly site analytics.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our guests, staff or business.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
SMS terms
When you send a private event inquiry, you can choose to receive text messages from Gabriela's Seafood + Tapas about it. Texts are optional and never a condition of booking.
What we text: replies to your inquiry, availability, quotes, booking confirmations, reminders and follow-ups about your event.
How often: message frequency varies with your inquiry and event.
Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
To stop: reply STOP at any time. We'll send one message confirming you're unsubscribed, and won't text you again unless you opt back in.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We don't send marketing texts. Special offers come by email, and only if you sign up for them.
Emails
If you join our list, we'll email you now and then about seasonal menus, special offers and events. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can ask us to remove you. Replies to your messages and inquiries come from our team directly.
Analytics
We use two lightweight, cookie-free tools to see how the site is used:
Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you. It counts visits, pages and referring sites in aggregate.
Our own visit counter, which records the page, referring page, browser type and button clicks on our server. To count unique visitors it stores a random ID in your browser's local storage. That ID isn't linked to your name or email, and clearing your browser data removes it.
This site doesn't use advertising trackers, and we don't use cookies on the public site.
Your choices
Texts: reply STOP.
Emails: use the unsubscribe link, or ask us.
Your information: email or call us to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. We'll respond within 30 days.
We keep messages and inquiries for as long as we need them to look after you and run the restaurant, and email-list addresses until you unsubscribe. This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
If we change this policy we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
